Let's get fishing! This event is focused on getting kids (little to big!) engaged in the outdoors and having fun fishing. All Wayne waters, ponds and streams in Wayne, are eligible venues and we are targeting "panfish:" bluegills, pumpkinseed, white and yellow perch, as examples.

The Derby will be open for young people from Kindergarten to High School. Any legal tackle or bait may be used. The fish may be pursued on shore, form docks, or boats and canoes. Lakes include Androscoggin, Barrie, Dexter, and Wilson Ponds, Pocasset, and Lovejoy Pond, and any pond or stream that has frontage in Wayne. This is a LOT of water.
The Derby is sponsored by the Wayne Community Church and a group of cooperating organizations are considering co-sponsoring.
